Single Pack PU Topcoat

Alka 211 is a one-component, solvent-based, high chemical and UV-resistant, moisture-cure, polyurethane topcoat designed for use over concrete floor coatings and waterproofing membranes. Alka 211 is a trafficable topcoat that is UV-resistant and has been tested to pass accelerated UV testing using UVB light at 2000 hours.

Usage

As a clear topcoat for :

  • Decorative Flake systems,
  • Epoxy self-leveling floor toppings,
  • Exterior and interior decorative flooring finishes.
  • Metallic floorings or Liquid Marbles.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

1 coat of 250-400 g/m2 will provide a durable layer of 0.15-0.25 mm. Final dry film thickness must be a minimum of 0.2 mm (200 micron). The number of coats will depend on the degree and type of traffic. For light foot traffic, a single coat at 400 g/m2 is recommended.
For heavy foot traffic and vehicular traffic, two coats of 400 g/m2 are recommended. 

Alka 211 can be applied by brush, roller, spray, or squeegee.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Xylene can be used for cleaning tools and equipment before the mixed compound begins to harden. Once cured, it can only be removed mechanically.
